This spring, Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche will return to Pema Osel Ling to continue his teaching series on Dudjom Linga's profound Dzogchen text:

“Dudjom Lingpa’s Nang Jang is a very deep and profound teaching – an integral teaching of The Great Perfection or Dzogpachenpo. Many students have made many requests that I teach this. The method of the Nang Jang is to refine all impure appearances of environment, sense objects, and body into the pure kayas and wisdoms."

~Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche

The Nang Jang is a collection of Dzogchen (Trekchöd) instructions that Dudjom Lingpa received in a series of visionary encounters with various enlightened beings. Dudjom Lingpa remarked that, of his teachings, the “Nang Jang is so powerful that even hearing it read aloud ensures that the listener will eventually escape the suffering of samsara.” His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, who wrote a structural analysis and outline of this precious text, said, “The Nang Jang was prepared as an inexhaustible treasure trove of the gift of the Buddha's teachings, the relics of the dharmakaya."

“The Nang Jang teachings with Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche are very special, not only because of the Dudjom Tersar lineage but because Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche holds the family blood lineage as a descendant of Dudjom Lingpa, so the blessings are very direct. I encourage you all to please come and connect with these teachings.“

~Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche

This event is open to all with a sincere interest in the Great Perfection.  It is not necessary to have attended last year's teachings.

Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche's Biography

Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche was born in the Golok region of Eastern Tibet as the fourth descendant of the great Tibetan master Dudjom Lingpa, one of the foremost spiritual masters of 19th Century Tibet. At the age of 15 he was recognized as the reincarnation of Rigzin Longsel Nyingpo by Choktrul Tamdrin Wangyel. He attended Larung Gar Monastery and studied Buddhist teachings in great depth, including Sutra and Tantra as well as Dzogchen pith instructions and empowerments with Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok, who formally requested that Rinpoche teach and preserve the lineage of Dudjom Lingpa. In addition to his training at Larung Gar, Rinpoche received teachings from a well-known female teacher and descendant of Dudjom Lingpa, Dakini Kunzang Wangmo, who also encouraged him to teach and preserve the Dudjom lineage.

While in Tibet, Rinpoche was responsible for the publication of many revelatory writings from Dudjom Lingpa and produced an original woodblock edition of the Nyingma Gyudbum, The 100,000 Tantras of the Nyingma Lineage, published at the Derge Printing House. Since 2011, Rinpoche has lived primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2014 Rinpoche founded The Abhaya Fellowship, which is a Buddhist community dedicated to keeping the Nyingma lineage of the Dudjom Tersar alive, and functions as an umbrella for activities like meditations retreats, teachings and as a center for satellite sanghas or practice communities. On February 13, 2016 Rinpoche opened his Dharma center, Longsal Ling
