Ama-La (Pema Chhuing), beloved mother of Tulku Jamyang Rinpoche, Lama Sonam Rinpoche and Semo Sonam Rinpoche, passed away peacefully at home at Pema Osel Ling on Thursday evening, February 7, 2019.

Ama-La was 97 years old and her entire life was dedicated to dharma. Her profound devotion to the Buddhist path and her lamas were inspiring to everyone who met her. She will be dearly missed.

Lama Sonam Rinpoche says that Ama-La accumulated great virtue in her lifetime from circumambulating stupas in Bodhanath and Orissa while chanting the Chenrezig mantra, OM MANI PADME HUNG.

On this first anniversary of her passing, we will do a special Red Chenrezig puja in the shrine room, Wednesday, February 26, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Lunch will be provided. If possible, please email office@vajrayana.org if you plan to attend.

The Red Chenrezig practice, The Innermost Heart That Synthesizes the Essence of All Secrets (T'hukje Chenpo Yang Nying Chü Dril Avalokiteshvara), was compiled by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje from three termas discovered by Guru Chowang, Pema Lingpa and Dorje Lingpa. A limited number copies of this text will be available for purchase at Dharma Treasures. Call 831-761-6274 to reserve your copy for pick up on Wednesday morning.
