Tulku Thadral Rinpoche will continue offering teachings and the oral transmission (lung) on Longchenpa’s profound text Resting in the Nature of Mind (Tibetan: Sems Nyid Ngal Gso). This will be the fourth installment in an ongoing, in-depth series exploring this essential Dzogchen work.

Rinpoche will teach from The Excellent Path to Enlightenment, Longchenpa’s detailed practice manual based on the root text. This manual presents 141 specific practices that span the full path of the Dharma — from the Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind to the Dharma, through Ngondro, Sutra, Outer and Inner Tantra — integrating all nine vehicles in a single, cohesive framework often referred to as the “Nyingma Lam Rim.”

Participants will receive instruction on meditating through three approaches: concise, medium and elaborate. Rinpoche will give the lung for the relevant portions of the text and lead guided meditation as part of the teaching. He will also offer the lung from The Great Chariot, Longchenpa’s auto-commentary, which includes the root verses.

This retreat is open to all, with no prerequisites and no specific commitments. As always, Rinpoche encourages attendees to continue practicing after the retreat.
