Text List

Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche will return to Pema Osel Ling this December 30, 2017  – January 7, 2018, to give preliminary practice of Great Perfection (Rushin) and Trekchod meditation instructions from His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche's Heart Jewel for the Fortunate Ones: A Pointing out Instruction for the Great Perfection and Three Pieces of Advice given to Gelong Yeshe Rabsal, Dechen Dorje and Rigzang Dorje.

These instructions, coupled with intensive meditation practice, provide an incredible opportunity to gain stability in meditation under the guidance of a truly genuine and experienced meditation master. For Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche's biography, click here.

In Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche's words: "... It is very rare to get the complete Trekchod teachings from a completely qualified practitioner lama such as Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche. To receive this kind of teaching requires many positive circumstances and conditions coming together and therefore it is very precious."

To attend this retreat, "completion of a full ngondro is very good," according to Rinpoche.

Practice Retreat

January 4, 2018 marks the anniversary of His Holiness Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche’s parinirvana (Dechö in Tibetan). We will do a special puja and tsok at 6:30 PM on this occasion. The text is called "A Guru Yoga: Nakedly Seeing Fundamental Reality"; copies will be provided at the Shrine Room.

With regard to Dechö ”De” is the time when a lama passes into parinirvana and “Chö” is the aspect where the student makes offerings to connect with the blessings of the lama’s wisdom mind. This is a time of particular significance for all of us with a Dharma connection to His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche.

Lama Sonam Rinpoche encourages all sangha to attend. Please make every effort to join us at this time so that we can come together, pray and make aspirations.

There is no charge for the pujas but please bring a tsok offering to share. There is a charge for meals ($10) and lodging (depending on type of accommodation). Please register (open soon) so we can arrange for your participation.

If you are unable to join us in person, Lama Sonam Rinpoche recommends that, for your own accumulation,"it would be very beneficial during this time to do Vajrasattva practice, to sponsor Tsok and Butterlamps, and make any kinds of offerings, including water bowl offerings, prostrations and circumambulations.”
