A Prayer by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche Prophesied by the Dakinis in the Dreams of His Consort the Wisdom Dakini Rigdzin Wangmo

Teachings with Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche

The lung for this text and others* will be given again Friday, January 8 at 4 pm (Pacific Standard Time)

H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche’s consort Rigdzin Wangmo had a dream where a Dakini came to her and told her to request Dudjom Rinpoche to write a prayer. She did, but Rinpoche’s initial response was that there are already so many prayers, what is lacking is people having time to offer prayers. Then Rigdzin Wangmo had another dream where the Dakini asked her why she had not yet asked Rinpoche to write a prayer, so she made the request again. Rinpoche thought about it again, and thought that it might be beneficial to write a prayer to prevent the disease, famine, war, and conflict of this degenerate age, but did not get to it right away. Then the Dakini came to Rigdzin Wangmo again and told her to request Rinpoche to write it quickly, and not to consider it as something unimportant, and that there was great need for it. Then Rinpoche thought more seriously about writing a prayer, and planned to write it on the full moon, the 15th day of the month. On the evening of the 14th, Dudjom Rinpoche prayed to Guru Rinpoche, and in a dream he had a vision of Guru Rinpoche. Guru Rinpoche was dancing, and said,

"If you want to establish the Budddhist teachings, establish them in your own mind.

You will find Buddha within your own mind.

If you are looking for a Pure Land, purify your own mind’s perceptions.

You will find the perfectly pure Buddha-field within yourself."

Then the next morning H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche wrote this prayer which combines supplication, confession, and aspiration prayers all together in one.

This event will be held via livestreaming; recordings will be available for later viewing.
